DDA follows the Royal Academy of Dance classical ballet syllabus. Examinations at each level are optional. Levels are Pre-Primary, Primary, and Grades 1
In these classes the language of Ballet, as well as knowledge of correct structural and muscular placement will be taught. Ballet is the most beneficial dance form for body placement. Elegance, grace with strength, flexibility, expression and artistry are taught and students will learn the disciplines of classical, free- movement and character.

Ballet is highly recommended for all students wishing to improve their overall dance technique, to grow and progress to more advanced levels of dance.
GIRLS – Pre-Primary / Primary
Pink Ballet shoes. Pink Ballet socks. Pink RAD approved skirt.
Pink Cap sleeve RAD approved leotard.
BOYS – Pre-Primary / Primary /
White Ballet shoes. White Ballet socks. Black or Navy RAD approved shorts.
White Cap sleeve RAD approved leotard.
GIRLS – GRADE 1 & 2
As for Primary but no skirt. Tights optional.
Character Skirt and shoes compulsory.
BOYS – GRADE 1 -5 –
as for Primary but with Character shoes.
GIRLS – GRADE 3 & 4
As Grd 2 but Mulberry RAD leotard. Pink Tights.
GIRLS – GRADE 5 & up
As Grd 4 but Navy / Black leotards. Soft blocks / Pointe shoes at the discretion of the teacher.
